That cafe by the road.
Off I went to Bukidnon last weekend to photograph food. That’s right! Foooooddddd.. It was shoot and then eat. There were more eating breaks than shooting which made the whole experience so much fun. I haven’t eaten so much meat in a long time. Steak was really good! I can’t remember the last time I had one. For a time now I have been in limbo! I can’t decide if I want to go vegan (strictly) or be kinder to myself and go vegetarian. But what the heck! The Roadhouse sizzling pochero was to die for. Haaaaa! Pochero! You taste this good?? Every time I sampled a dish, the flavours would explode inside my mouth like fireworks in the sky.
I was with happy minded people and their creative genius in their respective field left me in awe. I wish it robbed off on me. I met the owners too. Thank you! I was nervous when the chef (Chef John Cu-Unjieng) looked at my shots. He had a specific requirement for the menu. I had a momentary Gordon Ramsey flashback. Blame it on long nights watching Hell’s Kitchen.
I immensely enjoyed Bukidnon. The last time I was there I rode a motorcycle and crazily asked the driver if we could tour the whole of Bukidnon in just one day. The driver looked at me like I was a lunatic.
I want to go back.
