Ormoc: Meeting Ikea

Last Saturday, I went to Ormoc for a day for a family session. I didn’t ask about the details of who I will have a session with.  I just went and threw my worries to the wind.

I asked the driver who picked us up at the port if my favorite cake shop was open on a black Saturday.  What time??? Because I imagined gobbling two slices of chocolate cake with that yummy filling in the middle that never fail to bring me back to my childhood days of pandesal and condensed milk afternoon snacks.  I was so delighted when the driver brought us to the Ikea cakes and snacks.  It dawned on me then that the family I will be meeting that day were the people behind my favorite chocolate cake!

The chocolate cake binge began at breakfast time.  One bite after another!  I didn’t mind about the calories.  I stopped counting!

It wasn’t just a family session, it became a reunion of sort.  Grandparents and the apos!  Sweetest time ever!
