Monterrazas Cebu Christian Wedding: Paul & Faye
Nothing could dampen their spirit! Even the rain. If that was me (the crazy and controlling me), I’d be very upset. But Paul and Faye, without saying anything reminded me that I do not have control over things. They happen because they need to happen for a bigger purpose. The skies cried before the ceremony, but it slowly brightened a few minutes before it started. Their friend said, “Isn’t God amazing?”
I nodded.
He is!
There were quite a few things I learned yesterday. I may look like I work, but I’m all ears during sermons and speeches. One ninang said we should learn how to reset. When our partners gets into our nerves (because they do one way or another) or has wronged us, we should push the reset button. By that she meant we must learn how to forgive. The hardest thing to ever do! To let go and forgive. This has been my struggle.
I am grateful that I am constantly reminded how beautiful it is to photograph love. The emotion that I’ve been trying to capture clearly for the last five years. It is the moment I anticipate and wait for during engagement sessions, weddings and even during family shoots. It can be a quiet moment shared or an exchange of endearment or a gentle touch. The language of love comes in many ways.
To Paul and Faye, thank you for yesterday. For making me a part of your big day. Enjoy Bali!
