I

I miss the smell of the ocean. Salty air and the sting in my eyes. I miss the sound of the waves and how it would rock me quietly as if saying it will be alright.

I miss sunrise and how the light would peak far away on the horizon. The dark sky sad at first and then a slow smile would start as the light brings brightness to the dark sky. I miss the heat and the warm water because no matter how hot, you will always find me there by the shore.

I miss hearing the sound of laughter and stories shared while swimming in circles. Paddling and threading water. And as the sun bids farewell to the day, the sky turns orange and sometimes pink. Darkness falls slowly letting me know that it’s time to rest my weary soul.

I’ll sea hue soon.
