Matteo's Birthday Session
Over a week ago, I met Mateo’s family. His parents wanted to have a birthday session. A birthday session would always mean a mini-family session because birthdays are just that – a celebration of life with family.
When we started, Matteo was nicely tucked in his stroller. He was asleep! The perfect time to take pictures of his parents. When it was time to wake him up, I was apprehensive that he’d be grumpy. But, Mateo’s different. All smiles for this fella! His eyes sparkled with so much innocence. His grin contagious and he laughed at my silliness. We became fast friends!
When I started transitioning from a wedding photographer to a child/family photographer, my big worry was how do I make the kids connect to the camera. Thru time I have learned to just be authentic.
