Jessie & Katrina's Wedding
Jessie and Katrina were already married in civil rights. But that wasn’t their only declaration of love they have for one another. Their church wedding was grand. I bet their civil wedding was pretty too.
When I photograph couples during their engagement sessions and document their big day, I look for love cues.
Do they frequently hold hands and stare at each others eyes. Do they softly encourage each other. Are they in sync? Do they finish each others sentences?
A friend of mine tried to explain to me about being romantic. That it does not only mean holding hands or the usual show of affection. Methinks that my idea of being romantic was crazy. Over the top! How does one try to be romantic anyway? If it’s not holding hands, embraces or flowers just because? What is it then???
My girly romantic thoughts can be so much more, I guess! My ideas need to grow up. I recently celebrated my birthday and yet I am as naive as when I was eighteen. I have to stop watching and reading giddy romantic stories (like Pretty Woman over and over again) because I tend to compare it to what I have and what I should have according to what I see and how others experience their romantic adventures.
Enough of me! Here are some photos of Jessie and Katrina’s wedding.
