I

I met Mae’s family back in August. Initially, she warned me that her family is a bit private and I can’t post photos of them online. But during and after the shoot I asked again. And then I tried asking again one last time. Maybe! Just maybe they’d agree.

I just had to ask because there are people that I fall in love with. Not in a romantic sense! But you know those that make me feel good about what I do. I call them the good energy kind of peeps. Those that appreciate my craft. The effort, the sense of responsibility, and the heart that goes with every click. Because after all, I am not ALL business.

It has been ten years since I started my journey as a photographer. Along the way, I have learned so much. I still keep learning from those photographers I look up to. As I grew, I met all sorts of humans. I love those kinds who embraced and trusted me fully. I had many mistakes along the way like how I discounted myself and my craft to fit theirs. In the end, I felt undervalued! The good thing is I learned and I understood where I should be.

Thank you, Mae and family, for allowing me to post your photos.
