Alfonzo's Birthday Session

Meet Alfonzo! He is Marcus’s younger brother.

I first photographed Marcus when he turned one. Back then he was so little, he just stayed in one place. When I saw him again during his mom’s maternity (Alfonso inside the tummy), he didn’t mind posing for the camera. But during Alfonso’s birthday session, he wanted to do something else. His favorite word that afternoon was No. But when he gave me the go signal to take pictures of him, he wanted me to go closer. He kept telling me — duol ba (come near me).  I’m sure mommy Iris visualized a breezy shoot. Sorry, mommy! When kids hit two, taking pictures of them becomes a challenge.

I’m so happy to see this family grow. Grateful that I get to photograph important events in their lives. I always get excited when mommy Iris sends me a message for a photo shoot schedule. I can just imagine the next maternity session if it’s going to be a baby girl. Really wishing that it’ll happen one day. I’d get to work with the same people once again.
