Thirty years: Resty & Beth
I was excited to meet Sunshine again. The last time I saw her was five years ago when I photographed her wedding. Her parents celebration of love for thirty years was something that made me wonder about a lot of things.
Marriage most especially!
How can some couples last for thirty long years? How come some last for just thirty days and even less??
She said that marriage is not a bed of roses, but if you put God in the center, everything else will fall into place. I’ve heard this so many times. Sponsors and parents include this phrase when they give out their speeches. But to hear it from someone who was in it for thirty years was different. If it’s not a bed of roses, other than thorns, what else could be present to make it last for thirty years?
The children and the grand kids were present to celebrate their love.
Sunshine and I used to work together in a plastic surgery and aesthetic centre. It was an exciting time in my life as a nurse.
They look at each other lovingly. That was something I wanted to photograph!
It was during this moment when I also wanted to cry. I glanced over my third shooter and saw tears streaming down her face. She didn’t even try to hide it. She just cried! If I cried with them, can you just imagine how the photos will come out?? Blurry, I guess!
