Forty years and counting!  Meet my best friend’s parents.  They recently celebrated their forty years of togetherness.  Forty years of loving one another.  It sounds like a very long time, but forty to those who truly love each other is nothing. Yes?

Mr. Prudy said in his thank you speech, “Forty years pero parang kulang pa.  Sana mas humaba pa!”  More years for them to witness their grandchildren grow into beautiful adults just like my best friend and her sibs.  They have a very loving family.  Something I strive to have and dream of having.

Who wouldn’t want to have forty years of bliss!  Four seasons, like what Mr. Prudy said – Our marriage has four seasons:  winter, summer, spring, and fall.  When they said their vows all over again, it made me remember what Jefrey Santos said in his speech during my friend’s wedding last September, “Do not stop courting her.  First, court her to be your girlfriend.  Court her again to be your wife.  Court her to be the mother of your children.  Lastly, court her to spend the rest of her life with you.”
