Toys surround me as I write this!

I have been trying to find my balance between work, taking care of the little boy and keeping a well-functioning household. Some days I think that there is too much on my plate. Other days I am well convinced that this is way better than employing house help who steals and take advantage of my family’s kindness.

It’s hard to find the light when the heart is full of anger towards someone who I trusted to look after my little boy for the last three years only to wake up one day and be presented by facts that I didn’t know about. It hurts too when you treat someone like family but repay you with the coldness of a stranger or a thief for that matter.

Sigh! What would you give to be eighteen again! Back then; I was such in a hurry to grow up. Because I thought adulting was easy!

I first met Sophia when she was about fifteen. She was a vital person in her aunt Lordele’s wedding. She played the piano that left Lordele in tears. How can I forget? I was teary eyed too. After a year (or was it two), I photographed her parents. I love the kind of sunshine her mom brings.

Sophia wanted something that wasn’t too much. She didn’t like to pose! She just wanted to be herself. Love it when I hear those words – unposed, be SELF, spontaneous. So I told her just do your thing and I will try my best to interpret you as YOU!
