Worth every mile between us: Robinson & Fleur
I don’t really require a particular time to do sessions. Although I know that the best time would be during late afternoons or when Mr. Sun decides to hide. But for Fleur and Robinson’s engagement it was impossible to shoot when the sun was so out there. We wanted to hide inside the room, talk, eat, and nap. It’s different, I guess, during summer time. The light is so harsh! I waited ’til about four in the afternoon. It’s easy to wait for the perfect soft yummy light. But it disappears as swiftly as it comes.
I still feel nervous and excited when I shoot. I reassure myself with the thought that the safest place I’d rather be is behind the lens. There I could create and capture something I desire like laughter shared between two people. Those I-look-into-your-eyes-you-look-into-mine moments. Silly stories like how they met and how the romance progressed through the years. Robinsons sends Fleur emails several times a day. He works in a ship and the most convenient way that they could communicate is thru mails. Fleur said she receives about seven hundred emails whenever he is away for work.
Here are some photos of Robinson & Fleur’s engagement session. They traveled all the way to Moalboal. I went a day and ahead and waited for them there.

When I asked her for some pegs, she sent me inspirations that included dogs.
Fleur came ready. She had so many cute dresses that she bought online.
Their wedding will be in Leyte two weeks from now. I can’t wait to document their big day.
Thank you for the chocolates and the H&M scarf. It was so thoughtful of you.
Very well captured mai!
