I

I always feel challenged (need to be honest here) every time I shoot at the Temple Of Leah. There are no trees to diffuse the light. It’s an intimidating edifice. The huge bronze lion that stood guard at the entrance of the temple has been photographed countless times. The challenge (always) is to find a corner or a space that would help me visualize an image. From there, I dig deep. Deeper!

Where here?

Arnold and Ryah’s session was different. The afternoon light, intermittent smoke around the area, Ryah and Arnold’s gracefulness in front of the camera were inspiration enough. I felt happy shooting at the temple for the first time. I didn’t worry about colors and all the other elements that just weren’t there. I didn’t wrestle with myself.

Sometimes a location challenge is a good thing. It helps me see and feel things differently.
