When I photograph weddings, I try to go out of my way to meet the couple.  This is very important especially when there is no engagement session to bond with. I have this crazy idea in my head that couples who meet their wedding photographer for the first time on their wedding day won’t be that comfortable photographed.  Maybe it’s just my silly thoughts and me!  There are a lot of wedding photographers out there who can wrap it up so easily without meeting the couple prior to the wedding.  I am a peculiar wedding photographer, I guess.  Emotional!

I got lucky with Nye.  I met her a month before her big day.  And then we had a series of Facebook interactions.  It was enough to make me comfortable and I hope they felt the same way, too.

It was my first time to shoot at The Henry’s (formerly known as the House of Cebu).  I went crazy.  I didn’t want the prep time to end.  There were lots of corners I could make use of.  The interior of the rooms was to my liking – unfinished walls and ceilings and exposed beams like skeletons.  The colors of the décor were rustic, modern, hip, and offbeat. The rooms huge and well lighted!  I could go on and on and on!  The Henry’s is a nice alternative for dress up — friendly staff and less hassle for wedding suppliers.
