A runner and a yogi: Jena and Louie

Long distance love no more!  I’m one of those who cheer for couples who are in a long distance relationship for years and finally tie the knot after being away from each other. They just did a few days ago.  Jena’s been sending us Viber photos.  She came back to the Philippines last February to fetch the love of her life. During their engagement session.  We kept joking how lucky Victor is.

It’s hard being away.  Viber calls, video calls, and emails aren’t enough to fill the longing of the heart.  I think being in a long distance relationship takes a lot of courage and of course deep trust.  I was there once and it was crazy.  Looking back, we had more time to talk even when we weren’t side by side.  We established a routine that made the relationship work.  I still read the exchanges we had before and I feel melancholic about it.  I find it corny but I think when you are at different parts of the earth, corny can do you good.  There’s assurance, care and love at the same time.
